Taxiway Proposal

AAI Chandler LLC, an Arizona LLC with its sole member Advantest America Inc., has purchased numerous lots on the commercial side and proposes significant changes to two taxiways. SRUA held a Special Meeting on March 21st to discuss the proposal, subsequently engaged a committee of members to represent our members’ perspective on the proposal, and finally the SRUA board of directors negotiated details of AAI Chandler’s final proposal. Thanks to our generous members, Stellar Airpark is developing a new RNAV (GPS) approach and instrument departure procedure to replace the existing approach the FAA plans to eliminate. We anticipate the approach and departure procedure will be published by the end of 2022.

Stellar Airpark Neighborhoods

Stellar Airpark consists of the airport and five neighborhood sections, three on the residential side, the west side, and two on the commercial side, the east side.

What is the SRUA?

The Stellar Runway Utilizers Association (‘SRUA’) owns, operates, and maintains the runway, parallel taxiways on either side of the runway, the three taxiways at the northeast corner, the infield and water retention areas, and related infrastructure for our members.

Annual Meeting

The SRUA members meet annually in January to review the prior year, plan for the coming year, and vote on important Airpark matters. Please join us for this informative meeting and help guide the Airpark’s plans and activities for the coming year.

Membership Types

SRUA membership is associated with each lot in the Airpark community. SRUA has two membership classes. Class 1 memberships are associated with residential lots having taxiway access. Class 2 memberships are associated with residential lots without taxiway access, commercial lots, and owners and renters at the FBO.

Class 1 members are eligible for Board membership and vote on all matters up for a vote by the members. Class 2 members vote on financial and operational matters up for a vote by the members.

The SRUA Board of Directors manages the Association and consists of seven SRUA members.
