Airport Impact Overlay District
The City of Chandler passed laws establishing an Airport Impact Overlay District, covering Chandler Municipal Airport and Stellar Airpark, which has numerous implications for compatible use and soundproofing requirements of structures being considered or built in these areas.
Stellar Airpark’s impact overlay district is defined as Arizona “Township 1 South, Range 4 East” of the Gila and Salt River meridians, sections 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, and 36. In layman’s terms, a rectangle from the intersection of Ray and Kyrene to the interchange of Loops 202 and 101. Stellar Airpark is in section 35 (Chandler Blvd and Rural to Loop 101 and McClintock).
In case you’re curious, “Township 1 South, Range 4 East” of the Gila and Salt River meridians is a rectangle from the intersection of Baseline Rd. and 40th St. to the interchange of Loops 202 and 101.
